Nili Lotan, is een in Israël geboren vrouw, hier heeft zij de opleiding Engineering and Design gevolgd in Tel Aviv. In 1980 verhuisde Nili Lotan naar New York City om haar droom als modeontwerpster na te jagen en te beginnen met haar carrière. Hier doormaakte zij een zeer succesvolle carrière bij Amerikaanse tophuizen zoals bijvoorbeeld Ralph Lauren. In 2003 ging ze het alleen proberen en lanceerde ze haar gelijknamige label, hiermee ontwierp ze een garderobe van chique en tijdloze stukken voor de hedendaagse vrouw.
